The US-Africa Mayors’ summit is a project of Virginia Africa Partnership which strives to  strengthen economic and cultural ties between The US and Africa, foster connections between cities and municipalities, inspire strong leadership, exchange expertise and empower cities to become the drivers of innovation that spur inclusive economic growth for healthier and prosperous communities

Join us for the 2024 US-AFRICA MAYOR’S SUMMIT, slated to take place jointly in the Cities of Richmond, Manassas and in Washington DC on OCTOBER 23-25, 2024. This event is held during the United Nations Urban Month, during which  the UN-Habitat and partners organize a month of activities, events and discussions on urban sustainability providing a chance municipal leaders and the civil society  around the world to join the conversation around the challenges and opportunities created by the fast pace of change in our cities and towns.

 Under the theme of ” Building Trans-Atlantic Partnerships to Advance Innovation in Our Cities “, the 2024 event aims to inspire, engage and empower  US and African mayors and county executives to start working together to tackle pressing challenges and  serve as a gateway for inclusive economic growth while laying the foundation for partnerships that will enhance cultural and mutual understanding, enhance  diplomacy, advance democracy, peace, global security and climate change.

Refund Policy.

  1. Cancellation made by VAP. We will offer you a full refund of the fees payed for registration to the event. Up to 100% VAP will then absorb all the transfer fees charged by the third party.
  2. We request that your cancellation be done at least 1 month before the event. You may cancel by sending us an email at info@vapartnership.org.
  3. Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the event date for failure of obtaining the visa will receive an 90% refund.
  4. If Cancellations is made within 30 days after obtaining the visa no refund will be given.
